The Beginning of my Artistic Journey.

Introduction

Hello my name is Leesa Battershell, I’ve recently went through a life metamorphosis and discovered I have many hidden artistic talents that I knew were in me. But from outside influences I’ve suppressed over the years.

As I’ve gotten older I’ve looked within myself and asked “Why have I listened to these negative people?” Family members telling me “stop drawing and study harder to get a real job” or “art is stupid you should be a nurse”

Well I ignored those people, and became an amazing architectural drafter and had a rewarding career drafting commercial casework for schools, hospitals and laboratories around the world. For 25+ years I drew, until my body had repetitive motion nerve damage and I just couldn’t draft any longer.

The Awakening

I decided to pursue another career, I currently work at craft hemp company and I enjoy teaching people about the healing powers of hemp and CBD products. I see hurting people come into our store and almost cry because they’re finally getting sleep or pain relief without toxic side effects like they had with their pharmaceutical medications. It’s very rewarding and I’m proud to be part of it.

I also started drawing, painting and sculpting and found my inner talent. I’m so excited to learn more, improve my skills and produce fun and whimsical clay items.
